CBI court adjourns verdict on Y.S. Jagan's overseas travel request to May 14

He intends to visit London, Switzerland and Jerusalem along with his wife and children and is likely to return by May 30 or June 1

HYDERABAD: The Nampally CBI Court on Thursday adjourned its verdict to May 14 regarding a petition filed by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy's overseas travel request between May 17 and June 1, 2024.

Andhra Pradesh's Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy approached the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in Hyderabad on Wednesday seeking permission to go to London on May 17, 2024.

According to reports, the Chief Minister plans to visit London along with his wife, Bharati, after the polling of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections in 2024. An application for permission in this regard was filed in the Nampally CBI court. He intends to visit London, Switzerland and Jerusalem along with his wife and children and is likely to return by May 30 or June 1.

To leave the country, Y.S. Jagan needs permission from the CBI court due to his involvement in CBI and ED cases. The court will hear Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan's request on May 9, 2024.
