Issueless BJP invoking Pakistan to rake up emotions: KCR

Former Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has said that the BJP was invoking Pakistan to blackmail Indians emotionally.

KARIMNAGAR: Former Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has said that the BJP was invoking Pakistan to blackmail Indians emotionally.

Addressing a roadshow in Karimnagar on Thursday, KCR said that the BJP used a small country like Pakistan for its electoral gains for ten years. “Sometimes it was Pulwama or cross-border terrorism. BJP successfully steered the people’s attention from real problems such as inflation and unemployment,” KCR explained.

During the past ten years Narendra Modi made 150 promises but failed to implement them, he said. “The rupee value fell way below the US dollar, and prices of fuel skyrocketed. He promised to bring back black money stashed in other countries and deposit Rs 15 lakh in your accounts. Did Bandi Sanjay give you Rs 30 lakh,” KCR asked the people of Karimnagar.

Coming heavily on the BJP and its pro-rich governance KCR said that while the total debt during the tenure of all Prime Ministers was Rs 55 lakh crore, Modi alone took loans worth Rs 105 lakh crore during the past ten years.

Recalling the black laws that he introduced against the farmers and the death of 750 farmers in north India, KCR said that the later Modi apologised, keeping elections at hand in mind at that time. “On the other hand, he waived Rs 15 lakh crore loans for capitalists,” he said.

Reminising his attachment with Karimnagar he said that the Constituency gave him a record majority of 2.5 lakh votes in by-elections during the Telangana agitation.

“The smart city status and the development of Karimnagar was undertaken by the BRS Government. The BJP had no role in its development,” KCR said. He said that the Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay never raised an issue in Parliament in favour of Telangana.

“The fight is in between the BRS and the BJP. The Congress is in third place now. So don’t waste your vote on Congress. Elect BRS candidate Vinod Kumar, for real development,” KCR pointed out.

KCR said that the Revanth Reddy Government in the State on the other hand had cheated the people of Telangana with false promises. “The Congress implemented only one promise, the free bus ride for women. While women for fighting for a foothold in the packed buses, Autorickshaw drivers are resorting to suicide due to lack of work. Revanth Reddy promised Rs 12,000 assistance to the drivers but, he cheated them too,” KCR observed.

Criticising the Congress Government for inept handling of the Medigadda issue, KCR said that through Kaleshwaram he ensured that 200 km of Godavari was filled with water throughout the year.
