Return of terror, wealth redistribution if Congress voted to power: Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that a vote for the Congress means the return of terrorism and appeasement politics.

HYDERABAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that a vote for the Congress means the return of terrorism and appeasement politics. He also invoked the fear of redistribution of the hard-earned wealth to Congress party’s vote bank.

Addressing the second public meeting in Telangana on Friday at the LB Stadium in Hyderabad, Narendra Modi said that the track record of the Congress was loot, appeasement, dynasty first, and soft-pedaling on terrorism.

“Incidents like the Dilsukhnagar bomb blasts were a thing of the past under the decade-long NDA Government. Congress is disappointed and wants Modi out to start terrorism once again. A vote for Congress means forcing the nation to become a victim of terrorism,” Modi pointed out.

Criticising the Congress for trying to set aside SC, ST, and BC reservations for only Muslims, Narendra Modi said the Congress had been an anti-middle-class political outfit throughout its history. “In their manifesto, there is no mention of BC welfare. Your income will be investigated and will be distributed among its vote bank. Do you want your children to inherit your property or not? But the Congress wants to take it away and distribute it to others,” he said.

Modi said that Rahul’s idea of India meant that praying in temples was an anti-national activity. “But for the BJP the idea of India meant Satyamev Jayate. Ahimsa, Acharya Paramodharma, Sarva Panth Sadbhav, one earth one family, India mother of democracy and justice to all appeasement to none,” Modi said.

Reiterating the BJP’s stand to officially celebrate September 17 as Hyderabad Liberation Day, he said on June 4, 2024, the people of the country would win the elections and the political parties that thrive on dividing Hindus for petty political ends. “Enemies of India will be defeated, those who oppose CAA and abrogation of article 370 will be defeated. A vote for the BJP will be a vote for Fintech, startups, digital power, and space power which is Modi’s track record,” he noted.

Blaming Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for turning Telangana into the Congress party’s ATM, he said that the RR tax being imposed in Telangana by the Congress had an additional ‘R’ which meant ‘Razakar’. “The Majlis neglected the old city. Waterlogging, power outages, and lack of basic amenities plague the walled city,” Modi observed.

He said that the BJP at the Centre ensured that Hyderabad grew as an international city. “The BJP is committed to Telangana's development. We brought aviation hub, green energy, electric mobility, developed Charlapally as an LPG hub and railway hub,” Modi said urging the cadre to win polling booths first to win all the 17 seats in Telangana.
