Amaravati will be back as capital of Andhra Pradesh in 72 days, says Naidu

PONNUR: TDP president Chandrababu Naidu has said that Amaravati will once stand as capital of Andhra Pradesh after 72 days when the TDP comes back to power.

Speaking at the 'Raa Kadali Raa' public meeting in Ponnur on Monday, Naidu said, "I created Amaravati with the intention of building a city like Hyderabad. It is historic that 29,000 farmers parted with their 35,000-acres of land for building the capital city. Amaravati will stand as the capital of Andhra Pradesh and will regain its past glory after 72 days."

The former Chief Minister slammed YS Jagan for allegedly destroying Amaravati by passing comments about communities and proposing three capitals. He said that the TDP had constructed buildings, Assembly, Secretariat, and High Court in Amaravati, but YS Jagan willfully ignored it.

"Jagan Reddy shouldn’t be spared for damaging the State. He has prepared a psycho for every town and village just like himself. The TDP will take up the responsibility of restricting and controlling these psychos by giving them shock treatment. Looting the State, increasing the charges of electricity, prices of essential commodities, killing Dalits, making Andhra Pradesh the top State in ganja distribution is the mark of YS Jagan in his five years of rule," said Naidu.

Stating that the TDP built an elementary school at a distance of every kilometer, upper high school at 3 km and a high school at every 5 kms of the State, Chandrababu Naidu said that it was his mark in the development of Andhra Pradesh.

"When there were no engineering colleges back then, the TDP established engineering and medical colleges in the State, conducting 11 DSCs and giving teacher posts to 1,50,000 people," he said.

Revealing that the TDP's initiatives like forming DWCRA associations, introducing the Deepam scheme, implementing reservations for BCs and women in local bodies, making a Dalit leader like Balayogi the Lok Sabha speaker, bringing KIA, completing Pattiseema, speeding up Polavaram project, constructing cement roads for 25,000 km, installing LED bulbs in villages, feeding the poor with Rs 5 by introducing Anna Canteens, giving six lakh jobs in five years, ensured development on the State.

Naidu added that the TDP introduced 30 schemes for BCs, 27 for SCs, and 16 for STs. Even as the State was facing a debt burden due to bifurcation, Naidu said that he had given PRC with 43 per cent fitment on par with Telangana, increased the age limit and paid all pending TAs and DAs of Government employees.

The TDP president slammed the Jagan Reddy Government for appointing teachers as security guards at wine shops. Warning that police personnel would face consequences for following the orders of the YSRCP, he said that the TDP would not spare police officers who were involved in wrongdoing. He emphasized that the TDP-Jana Sena Government would take responsibility for solving all the legitimate demands of the police department, Anganwadi, and other employees in the State.

Stating that Jagan Reddy should be given a Nobel prize for uttering lies, Naidu said that people would become slaves of YS Jagan if he was re-elected again.
